The work is necessary to ensure that the airport continues to operate safely. Throughout this period, Lelystad Airport will be closed to air traffic, and the taxiways and runway will not be available for use.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Construction work<\/h3>\n<p>Taxiway Sierra will be resurfaced and the roof of the control tower will be renewed. Maintenance work will also be carried out on the blast fence, the runway and infrastructure.
